Disney Speedstorm Ranks

Challenge

Design a rank badge system for Disney Speedstorm that clearly communicates player progression while staying true to the game’s high-energy, competitive, and Disney inspired visual language.
The badges needed to work at different sizes, feel premium, and reinforce a strong sense of achievement as players climb the ranks.

Approach

Analyzed the rank progression to ensure each badge visually represents growth, mastery, and competitive achievement, developing a cohesive badge system with strong silhouettes and consistent geometry for instant recognition. Used color, materials, and visual complexity to establish clear hierarchy between ranks, increasing prestige at higher tiers and designed badges to remain legible and impactful across multiple UI sizes and contexts.

In this project you will be able to find the set of all the different League Ranked Badges that I have designed for Disney Speedstorm, using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator focusing on clarity, progression, and a polished aesthetic. The main goal was for these badges to show the competitiveness between each other, maintaining Disney Speedstorm's style. Ranked Multiplayer provides an opportunity to upgrade any Racer in the player's possession by racing against other people in a competitive setting. Each Racer in the roster can be ranked up and has their own set of rewards to unlock with individual Score Point milestones to reach in order to increase the Rank. There are total of 9 Rank Leagues to progress through for each Racer, besides Rookie (Unranked).
